You’re right that it’s a great way to take notes, and I know that MindManager and a couple others (Inspiration, I think) are optimized for that. I wish I could get a small Mac tablet with OmniGraffle (not sure the iPhone would work, even if they *would* open it up). But in the spirit that I earlier thought of ways to use my smartphone to make me smarter (thought I blogged it but can’t find it,aha, the topic for a new post), Thinker Tools is another great way to push the envelope.

The mind mapping format is something I can apply across both my personal and professional planning and note taking. I love the idea of Thinker Tools and this package clealy falls into that category as it’s a graet way to manage brainstorming or collate and gather thoughts. The mind maps also allow for organic growth and are easy to manipulate and add to as thoughts develop or are shared with colleagues.

Well worth the price. And so easy to use. I use it when taking notes during meetings rather than just typing text because I can quickly create a visual representation of what’s being discussed. (If necessary, I keep a separate text file open for those few tidbits that have to be typed.) This is truly an exceptional program.
