Urban, thanks for sharing yours. I think Pagano’s Immersive Learning is a look at Transmedia Learning (also a fan of Phillips’ Transmedia Storytelling). As far as andragogy, I think the point most important is that our wetware learns well in ways that don’t shift much by age, and we need appropriate support. Less as we have more experience. But tapping into intrinsic interest still is the best bet. Appreciate the comment!

It’s differences that attract my attention, as in: Where, if at all, might this shiny object fit in the cosmology (taxonomy?) of learning? The thing that intrigues me most of all is transmedia. How messages, conversations, instruction might best engage our learning faculties if it comes at us across different media? I wonder sometimes, too, if there’s more to how adults learn than andragogy? Might there be a bit of the child in us that thrives on curiosity and play in learning? Maybe it’s heutagogy? Anyway, I don’t mean to ramble. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I have a varied academic background and a number of hobbies, and all of these experiences have fed my understanding of instruction and performance improvement. Synthesizing seemingly disparate ideas to create something genuinely new is exciting and energizing. Good thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
